Cambridge AI specialist seeks funding for latest exciting venture
True Knowledge, a Cambridge-based internet technology company, will be actively seeking investment following several years of internally-funded development.
Founder and CEO William Tunstall-Pedoe, a serial entrepreneur with a string of highly successful Artificial Intelligence based projects under his belt, has been working on the technology behind True Knowledge since 1998.
"I believe that the technology is now at a stage where external investors will find it an inviting proposition," says William. "The True Knowledge technology is beginning to realise its huge potential, and we have done proof-of-concept studies funded by an EEDA grant, which has helped to hone our offering and make us investment-ready."
True Knowledge's technology is capable of directly answering questions put to it in natural language, and dramatically improves the quality and accuracy of results available from an automated system.
Facts are represented within a broad knowledge-base that is comprehensible to both humans and computers, thus facilitating fruitful interactions. The technology can also be used to enable computers to interact, thus providing a range of API services.
William Tunstall-Pedoe has more than 25 years of experience in research and development of software products that push the boundaries of Artificial Intelligence. He is the first and only person to develop software to solve and explain cryptic crossword clues, and his Anagram Genius software was used by Dan Brown to create the anagrams in 'The Da Vinci Code.'
