day
There are 365 days in an ordinary year. In a leap year there are 366. Leap years happen roughly every four years, in years divisible by four (for example, 2004, 2008, 2012, 2016). The exception is that if the year is divisible by 100 but not by 400 (e.g. 2100, 2200, 2300, (not 2400), 2500) then it is not a leap year.
That gives an overall average of 365 + 1/4 - 1/100 + 1/400 = 365.2425 days in a year.
How many A day, traditionally defined as the time it takes for the Earth or another celestial body (such as an other planet or a moon) to make a single rotation with respect to a star, measured most accurately from local noon to local noons in a year (a period of time containing 365 (or 366) days)?
