Antoinette was executed by guillotine on October 16th, 1793, 9 months after her husband Louis XVI had the same fate after being found guilty of high treason. Her sister-in-law Élisabeth was executed in 1794 and her son died in prison in 1795. Her daughter returned to Austria in a prisoner exchange, married and died childless in 1851.
